With the trial now in its 7th year, after facing 7 difficult seasons, it was voted unanimously at the AGM to change direction in terms of the groups focus.
Whilst the main Rankins Springs CWFS site will be kept as a demonstration site from 2007, the main focus of the group will be co-ordinated on-farm demonstrations from 2007.
Some of the demonstrations which may be carried out in 2007 include:
- row spacing trial
- chicken litter trial
- Fertiliser v’s no fertiliser
- using straight P fertiliser
- wide row lupins or barley
- different barley varieties
- organic farming
- rhizobia inoculant trial
- herbicide demonstrations
These demonstrations will be updated as they crop up throughout the season.
