Last Updated 28/10/2011 Central West Farming SystemsCentral West Farming Systems (CWFS) is an independent, not-for-profit, farmer driven organisation. We operate over an extensive area covering the lower rainfall, mixed farming areas of Central West NSW (350-500mm rainfall). Formed in 1998, the group now boasts over 400 members made up primarily of farmers but also private and public sector advisers, researchers and agribusiness. CWFS is based centrally at Condobolin but operates 11 Regional Sites within a 250km radius of here. These local sites are run by local member committees and set the direction for trial, demonstration and extension activities annually. These sites, together with our membership, provide an exceptionally strong distribution and engagement network. CWFS is run by an Executive of 13 members with input from major project partners and agribusiness.
