Improved fallow management is thought to be a potential area for improved winter crop performance. Detailed results of these studies have been published for those seeking further information or clarification.


This trial intends to examine the management, profitability and sustainability of four different farming systems.
This was a GRDC funded project investigating if plant growth is affected by sodic subsoils in central western NSW.

To demonstrate new chickpea varieties with suitability for the Central Western Region.

Yield ProphetŪ is an on-line crop production model designed to provide grain growers with real-time information about the crop during growth. To assist in management decisions, growers enter inputs at any time during the season to generate reports of projected yield outcomes showing the impact of crop type and variety, sowing time, nitrogen fertiliser and irrigation.
